Our aim is to create an exciting and inspiring learning environment for your students. We offer you the chance to enjoy, appreciate and understand the rich heritage of taitokerau/Northland by accessing our collections and visiting our wonderful venues. We offer LEOTC (Learning Experiences outside the Classroom) Services including • Role-playing activities in the Heritage Park • Explore, discover and learn Museum-based interactive sessions • Investigative and creative Maths, Science & Technology workshops. We can provide • Safe places to explore which will energise your students in stimulating environments • Memorable hands-on experiences and unique learning opportunities within authentic contexts • The chance to unleash creative thinking with our practical sessions, promoting the transfer of skills and understanding across learning areas • Specific experiences that complement schools-based teaching activities • Interactive feedback and support for effective learning • Pre and post-visit information All this is tailored to meet the changing needs of the New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marauntanga o Aotearoa. We work closely with teachers to meet individual needs and reinforce classroom learning. Teachers and supporting adults on school trips visit us for FREE.
