Event GuideAn Eye on the UniverseThe exhibition features 30 stunning astronomical photographs of the earth, solar system, Milky Way and beyond – taken by astrophotographers from around New Zealand. We are especially pleased to showcase further images taken by local astrophotography Tony Kwak as well as display a telescope handmade by a local amateur astronomer Jim Hancock in the 1960s.

The objects will change each month, come and see if you can guess what the objects are!

Mark your diary for the second weekend in April each year for a great day out for the whole family. 2010 will see the show morph into a motor show, with plenty more cars on show, more entertainment for the kids and lots of fun games for the adults too. Sunday 11th April 2010 - 10am – 3pm A fun day out for the whole familyThe whole park comes to life - Heritage Park clubs throw open their doors and welcome visitors to see the treasures inside their sheds. From vintage cars to vintage tractors, stationary steam engines of all ages and sizes to radio equipment used in the war.Family Entertainment includes Bullock sled rides Train rides - steam and miniature Hay cart rides Pony rides and quad bike rides on occasions Admission for Adults $10, Children FREE
Both steam and diesel standard gauge and miniature trains run every 3rd Sunday of the month 10am - 4pm. Train Rides vary from $1 - $5 per ride |
